What is CBD?
CBD is short for Cannabidiol, which is a chemical compound found naturally in the cannabis sativa plant
- Cannabis sativa plants have two primary species, (1) cannabis (marijuana) and (2) hemp
- The hemp species has a higher percentage of CBD than the cannabis species; CBD is non psychoactive
How does CBD interact with your body?
CBD works with our bodies endocannabinoid (regulatory) system
- Endocannabinoids are like transmitters, shuttling messages through our body to help us maintain homeostasis (balance)
- CBD encourages our bodies to produce more of our own endocannabinoids, which helps to reduce anxiety, pain and inflammation within our bodies
- CBD Cannabinoids interact with our CB1 and CB2 endocannabinoid receptors
- CB1 = Receptors of the brain: cognition, memory, motor skills and pain
- CB2 = Receptors of the immune system
Where is your Hemp sourced?
PatriciaLincoln’s hemp is proudly sourced within the United States. We are USDA Certified Organic, and our hemp is grown in nutrient-rich soil on certified organic farms.
What is the Flowering Process?
Our dried buds (flowers) are stored in a climate control environment. We do not use leaves, stalks, seeds or steams. Before the extraction process, our buds (flowers) go through a milling process (similar technique used in coffee grinding) used to create a premium quality CBD oil.
What is the Extraction Process?
The extracted oil goes through a series of USDA organic certified purification process. This creates a pure honey color free from solvents, pesticides, fat, and waxes.
What makes your broad spectrum 0% THC?
PatricaLincoln uses a proprietary USDA organic certified chromatography process which results in no detectable (0.0%) THC.
How are the products tested?
Every batch goes through rigorous third-party lab testing at an ISO certified lab. We test for microbial (E. coli, yeast, mold), potency, heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury and cadmium), pesticides (60 total) and solvents. Each product has a QR code on the label linking to the internal lab report on the raw oil and the third-party testing on the finished product.
What makes your softgels different from others?
Our softgels oil goes through an additional proprietary process that transforms it into water-soluble, nano-sized particles which leads to greater absorption and enhanced efficacy. Our bodies have difficulty absorbing oil, water soluble products are more bioavailable giving our bodies are 60% water.
Are you environmentally friendly?
All packaging used is recyclable. We also use Carbon Fund, a nonprofit organization, that allows us to utilize free carbon-neutral shipping.
Why should I choose CBD?
CBD is non psychotropic, meaning it does not cause a high. It can be used while working, driving, or undertaking any other physical activities such as exercise and sports.
What does broad spectrum mean?
The term broad spectrum refers to CBD oil products that contain a combination of cannabinoids, terpenes and other beneficial compounds found in hemp. While many CBD oil products are made using CBD isolate, PatriciaLincoln’s broad spectrum oils maintain concentrations of the beneficial compounds that are found in the original hemp plant containing 0.0% THC, as shown on our lab reports.
What does full spectrum mean?
Full spectrum CBD oil is very similar to broad spectrum CBD — the exception is that full spectrum oil retains the trace amounts of THC present in the hemp plant. Legally, though, this amount of THC must always be less than 0.3%.
Will I feel any effects from using CBD products?
Some of the effects reported by CBD oil users include improved mood, restful sleep, increased attention and focus and others. However, organic compounds such as CBD can produce different effects in different people. Your results may vary.
Can I overdose on CBD?
There is no record of anyone ever overdosing on CBD. CBD is completely non-toxic. Also, all of PatriciaLincoln’s reports are QR coded to our lab report.
What are the benefits of taking broad spectrum CBD products?
The benefits of broad spectrum products are usually greater than the benefits provided by others, such as those containing just CBD isolate. This is due to what’s known as the entourage effect. The entourage effect occurs when compounds in the hemp plant, including cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids, work together to produce even greater effects than just CBD alone. All Joy Organics products contain broad spectrum CBD oil. However, organic compounds such as CBD can produce different effects in different people. Your results may vary.
Does CBD have a shelf life?
CBD itself does not have an expiration date. However, CBD oil products can degrade and should be used within a certain period of time. They should be stored in airtight containers either in the refrigerator or in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Please refer to the product expiration dates for more information.
Does CBD interact with other medications?
Much more research needs to be done in this area. If you are taking prescription medications, consult with a qualified medical professional.
How long will it take to receive benefits from taking CBD oil?
In some cases, such as when using a tincture, users often report almost immediate results. However, most of the effects of CBD are subtle and take some time to be detectable — usually half an hour or more. Personal results will vary.
How do I choose a product that is right for me?
The ideal method for taking CBD depends on the reason for which it’s being taken as well as your preference for its format. If using CBD oil for general wellness, tinctures or capsules are recommended. However, gummies might be preferred for their flavor — it might take a couple of tries to find the perfect product for you.
